I am a Writer. It feels good to type that. I have had this book following me around for 15 years. My love for writing has its roots in reading. What author sparked this madness? The one and only Jane Austen. There is something about her books that captivated my imagination. Sure, I have read other books, some of which seem to have more accolades than others, but I can say in my heart of hearts that it was Jane Austen and her writing that first placed me in front of the keyboard, or in my case, pen and paper, ready to start my journey as an Author.
Now the obligatory background info on me. I was born in India, but I was raised in Los Angeles. I have spent most of my life living in Southern California, but I did, for a brief period of time, live in Columbus Ohio. I attended UCLA (Go 🧸 Bruins!) where I studied History. It was here that, for a split second, I considered pursuing a PhD in history. This love for history resulted in a master’s in history from CSUN (Go Matadors!), but alas, life had other plans. I got married, had kids, and my rightful place of the Mom Boss of my family. But my story, my book, beckoned and after several years of tinkering with it, I took the plunge and here I am. Kasturi Sukul, mother, wife, and Author.
